Mumbai: Equity benchmark Sensex tumbled 773 factors on Friday, monitoring big losses in IT and monetary shares amid a recent sell-off in international markets.

Persistent promoting by overseas funds additionally affected the sentiment, merchants stated.

The 30-share BSE index ended 773.11 factors or 1.31 per cent decrease at 58,152.92. Similarly, the NSE Nifty plunged 231.10 factors or 1.31 per cent to 17,374.75.

Tech Mahindra was the highest loser within the Sensex pack, shedding round 3 per cent, adopted by Infosys, HCL Tech, SBI, Kotak Bank and HDFC.

On the opposite hand, IndusInd Bank, NTPC and Tata Steel have been among the many gainers.

In different Asian markets, bourses in Hong Kong, Seoul and Shanghai ended with losses, whereas Tokyo closed within the inexperienced.
