Hence taking a step forward, the airline on July 26 began the method of hiring pilots for Airbus’ A320 plane in addition to Boeing’s 737NG and 737Max planes. The airline — which acquired an air operator certificates from aviation regulator DGCA on May 20 — is but to put an order for plane with both European planemaker Airbus or American aerospace firm Boeing.

In October 2020, the airline’s Committee of Creditors (CoC) accredited the decision plan submitted by the consortium of the UK’s Kalrock Capital and UAE-based entrepreneur Murari Lal Jalan. In June 2021, the decision plan was accredited by the National Company Law Tribunal.
