IndiGo Airlines has positioned Kerala’s Left Democratic Front (LDF) convenor EP Jayarajan and two Youth Congress staff on a ‘no fly listing’ for his or her disruptive habits on board the aircraft whereas Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was on board. The motion was taken in accordance with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) pointers on unruly passengers; IndiGo Airlines shaped a committee, and three passengers had been positioned on the ‘no-fly listing’ based mostly on the findings.
An incident of unruly habits or conduct occurred on June 13 on board IndiGo flight No. 6E – 7407 from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram (“Flight”) involving Naveen Kumar RK, Farsin Majeed PP, and EP Jayarajan whereby Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan was on board of the stated flight.
In accordance with the Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) Section 3- AIR Transport Series M Part VI Issue II, IndiGo had referred the matter to the Internal Committee for Adjudication on Unruly Passengers, and No Fly List (“Internal Committee”) constituted by way of the CAR. The Internal Committee, on July 16, handed its closing order within the above-mentioned proceedings.
Internal Committee unanimously holds the unruly passengers Naveen Kumar RK and Farsin Majeed PP responsible of Level I offense beneath the CAR, and additional in view of the repenting angle of the committee, the committee holds that the passengers shall be banned for a interval of 02 ( two) week from the date of passing of this order and accordingly put above passengers in No-Fly listing.
Internal Committee unanimously holds the unruly passenger LDF convenor EP Jayarajan responsible of Level II offense beneath the C. Further, in view of the repenting angle of the committee, the committee holds that the passengers shall be banned for a interval of 03 (three) weeks from the date of passing of this order and accordingly put the above passenger in ‘no-fly listing’.
