Known for his bowling exploits, stand-in India captain Jasprit Bumrah produced a counter-attacking knock on Day 2 of the continuing fifth Test in opposition to England at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Bumrah remained unbeaten on 31 as India went on to put up a complete of 416 within the first innings.
India had been 98 for 5 at one stage earlier than Pant and Jadeja stitched 222 runs to place India within the driving seat.
In reply, England had been 60 for 3 earlier than rain pressured early Tea on Day 2.
