NEW DELHI: Former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday claimed that he had acquired a message on behalf of Pakistan PM Imran Khan to reinstate Navjot Singh Sidhu as a minister in his cupboard.
“I got a message that Prime Minister of Pakistan has sent a request that if you can take Sidhu in your cabinet, I will be grateful. He is an old friend of mine. If he does not work, you can remove him,” Amarinder mentioned.
Amarinder, who was sacked by the Congress as chief minister of Punjab after a relentless marketing campaign by Sidhu, has earlier additionally accused the cricketer-turned-politician of getting shut ties with the Pakistan institution.
Sidhu, who was tourism minister in Amarinder’s cupboard, had stop the ministry after his portfolio was modified by Amarinder Singh.
