New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in a collection of tweets clarified on the imposition of GST on some important meals gadgets.

FM Sitharaman famous, “It must also be noted that items specified below in the list, when sold loose, and not pre-packed or pre-labeled, will not attract any GST.”

She added that this was a unanimous choice by the GST Council. All states had been current in GST Council when this situation was offered by the Group of Ministers on Rate Rationalization within the forty seventh assembly held in Chandigarh on Jun 28, 2022.

All States, together with non-BJP States (Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala) agreed with the choice.
