El Salvador Frees Woman Jailed For Homicide After Miscarriage, Says Rights Group

SAN SALVADOR: Salvadoran authorities on Wednesday freed a girl who had served a decade of a 30-year sentence on prices of aggravated murder after struggling a miscarriage, based on a neighborhood rights group.

Elsy, 38, whose final title was not launched, reported an obstetric emergency in June 2011 whereas working as a home employee, based on the group, which stated she was instantly arrested and shortly after charged with aggravated murder.

Salvadoran authorities didn’t reply to a request for remark or affirm the discharge. Reuters was unable to independently confirm the small print of the case.

The Citizen Group for the Decriminalization of Abortion in El Salvador, which launched a photograph that it stated depicted Elsy after her launch from jail, stated her unique courtroom case was filled with irregularities and with out presumption of innocence.
